Water and Sewer Rates & Policies

Listed below, you will find the City of Amboy current water rates and policies. If you do not find the information you need, please contact our office and we will provide it for you. 

Should you experience a problem with your water, please call the phone numbers provided. We will do everything possible to locate the problem with your water service.

Water is billed quarterly - March, June, September and December. The bills usually run the dates of (example March 7 - June 6).  Bills are sent out by the 10th of the billing month. Bills are due on the 15th of the month, following the bill date.

$63.00 per quarter for the first 750 gallons used.  Any usage over 750 gallons will be billed per 1000 gallons at a rate of $7.89 per 1000 gallons.  

The water rate increase was approve by the city council in March 2024 and will be reflected in the billing received in June 2024.  The previous water rate increase was 2021.

Sewer rates are a flat rate of $141.00 per quarter.  Our last sewer rate increase was September 2022.

New Water Plant
