Fire Department
The City of Amboy Fire Department's mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life for all citizens and visitors from the adverse effects of natural and man-made emergencies. Our goal is to provide a protection program through a cost-efficient approach to emergency response, fire code application and public fire education.
The Amboy Fire Department is made up of all volunteers from the Amboy area. They service the Amboy, Shelby, Pleasant Mound and Sterling township areas. This is a commitment as each fireperson has to go through initial training and also refresher courses throughout their service period. There are also some great benefits for the fireperson's as well. Each fireman or firewoman receives a pension for their years of service. If you want to be a part of the Amboy Fire Department, we would welcome your service. The greatest benefit is when you can save someone's life from a fire or accident. These experiences are life changing and gratitude is expressed forever from the fortunate recipient.
Contact the fire chief if you want to be part of the team.
