Mayor & Council

The City of Amboy Mayor and Council work together for the citizens of our community. As leaders, they are committed to protecting the City of Amboy assets through the encouragement of residents and businesses to become integral participants in our community.

Mayor terms are 2 years and council member terms are 4 years.  Elections are held in the even years with filing for offices during May/June of the year of election.  Notices will be posted for when candidates may file for office; there is a $2.00 filing fee.

Filing for Office

Open May 21, 2024 - June 4, 2024.  You may file for office at city hall, during regular office hours.  Office will be closed on Monday, May 27 for Memorial Day.  Cost to file is $2.00
