Administrator, Clerk-Treasurer
The City of Amboy Administrator, Clerk-Treasurer is Patty Smith, she was hired in January 2016 by the City Council. Listed below are just a few of the responsibilities.
- Overseeing the performance of public works employees
- Implementing policies and ideas adopted by Council
- Ensuring that all projects, operations, and functions within the local government & community operate efficiently
- Utility billing for water, sewer, storm, garbage and recycling
- Accounts Payables and Receivables and Payroll
- Ensuring all Local, State, and Federal laws are followed
- Responding to citizen concerns
The Administrator also works to develop the annual budget, works with other administrators and clerks in the region, and performs other duties assigned to the manager per the request from Council.
This is a one person office. When the administrator, clerk-treasurer is out for training, meetings or time off the office will be closed. Messages may be left on city phone or sent to email, utility payments may be left in city drop box.
Regular office hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM with a half an hour lunch usually taken from 12:30 - 1:00. Friday's hours are 7:30 - 11:30.
