Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Division helps to protect the City of Amboy public’s well-being and enhance the quality of life by enforcing the health, safety, zoning and sanitation codes. 

Ordinance 34 Administrative Fines was passed by the city council in May 2026. If you are in violation of city ordinances and receive a letter from the Mapleton Police department and do not take care of the violation by the deadline you will be assessed a $100.00 fine per violation. If you continue to be non-compliant, you will continue to receive $100.00 fines. If these fines are not paid, they will be assessed to your property taxes in the fall.
