Planning & Zoning

The Planning Commission reviews zoning permit applications.  Applications must be submitted to city hall by the Wednesday, prior to the last Monday of the month.  The zoning permit applications must include a plot map of the proposed structure.  The Planning Commission meets the last Monday of every month if there are any applications submitted.  If the planning commission approves your application it is than reviewed by the city council for final approval. 

The planning commission are 5 members of the community that volunteer their time to review the applications.  The current members of the planning commission are Bruce Ward, John Thomas, Richard Goraczkowski, Tom Graf and Steve Urban.  

No permits are required for roofing, siding, windows or inside work.  Permits are needed for fences, decks, stairs, garages, additions and anything that would change the "footprint" of your current structure.
